Garia Society for Studies of Marginal People is a body where hatred is replaced by love, ambition, accommodation, and discord by conciliation. It was established in 2020 and was registered (Registration No. 50014623 of 2020-2021) under West Bengal Societies Registration Act, 1961. GSSMP pursues interdisciplinary research across society. Journal of People's History and Culture (ISSN No: 2395-7379) is published under GSSMP.

Garia Society for studies of Marginal People (GSSMP) is a non-profit research organization dedicated to research in the field of social science. It is committed to promoting and developing social science research.

To undertake and conduct research in various disciplines of Social Science through diverse academic exercises like seminars, symposia, meetings, conferences, academic workshops, discourses, publication of journals, literature, books, and all sorts of public deliberations with the help of all available media of expression is its ultimate aim.

The continuing purpose of the Society is to encourage an active and productive exchange and collaboration between young researchers and those more established. Research Society is an organization working in the field of educational research and development at an international level.

Educationists (Professor, Educator, Teacher, Faculty), Social Scientists, Research Scholars (Ph.D. / M.Phil / Masters, Bachelors), Independent Researchers, and any Citizen of any nation interested in the Research study field can contribute to the quest followed by GSSMP.
